This column is a sequel to my previous article on the role of Elders in storytelling from history.
I will share a story from my people, the Celts, and their encounter with the Normans from England during medieval times.
As a knowledge-keeper, I aim to tell an interesting story about my folk, following my own advice to Elders from our culture.
Last column, I noted that among Aboriginal peoples of Canada, Elders are the knowledge-keepers of the past, and I suggested that telling stories from history is worth the effort to learn and know it.
I attempt to be a ‘knowledge-keeper’ and tell a story from my people, for all readers.
