Wisconsin Senator Patrick Testin Urges Passage of Medical Marijuana Bill
State Senator Patrick Testin (R) published an op-ed titled "Why I'm trying to legalize medical marijuana", explaining his personal motivation behind new legislation to make Wisconsin the 41st state to legalize medical cannabis.
Testin's motivation stems from his grandfather's battle with cancer in the 1990s.
"I can remember, with vivid detail, the exact moment I knew I wanted to pursue a life of public service", says Testin. His grandfather was diagnosed with lung cancer, which eventually metastasized to bone cancer. The chemotherapy treatments took a tremendous toll on his body.
Senator Testin is advocating for the passage of his medical marijuana bill, driven by his personal experience.
