Marriott Hotel Coming to Laurel
A new hotel is set to be built in Laurel, Mississippi, following the demolition of the former Quality Inn on Sawmill Road.
The Jones County Economic Development Authority announced the demolition of the old Ramada Inn at the beginning of the month.
"We are currently building a Marriott Town Place Suites hotel in Corinth, Mississippi," said Suresh Chawla, CEO of Delta Lodging Group. "We just got the franchise and the land to build a 110-room Marriott property here in Laurel, Mississippi."
Suresh Chawla and the Delta Lodging Group currently operate 15 hotels in the Delta, including Hampton Inns, Holiday Expresses, and Quality Inns.
