AgZen, a startup behind a "feedback optimized" smart spraying system, has partnered with Corteva to explore optimizing inputs.
The agreement includes lab and field testing, according to Marta Garcia, Corteva's crop protection business and strategy enablement lead.
Working with AgZen will help Corteva "identify opportunities to optimize efficiency and effectiveness across our crop protection portfolio."
Traditional "spray and pray" approaches are being replaced with precision ag tools, helping farmers apply pesticides or fertilizer exactly where needed.
AgZen's smart spraying system has been utilized on almost a million acres of farmland in its second year of commercial operation.
