REM Line to Montreal's North Shore to Begin Nov. 17

The long-awaited Réseau express métropolitain (REM) train line extension to Montreal’s North Shore is scheduled to begin on Nov. 17, adding 14 new stations.

With 5 REM stations already in service between Brossard and downtown, the new stretch of the REM will have three connections with the Montreal metro, and several bus routes are set to be revised to link to it as well.

Service to l’Anse-à-l’Orme in the West Island is expected to begin in the spring, while an airport station remains in the works for 2027.

The schedule is expected to start at 5:30 am from Brossard and Deux-Montagnes.
