Roadworks in Portlaoise Town Centre
Motorists driving through Portlaoise town centre will experience traffic delays for three weeks, starting October 20.
Laois County Council is installing an eco-friendly solution to road flooding, called a "rain garden", on James Fintan Lalor Avenue.
- Roadworks will take place from 7am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, excluding Bank Holiday Monday.
- Traffic delays will last until Friday, November 14.
Rain gardens... are an efficient way to capture surface rainwater while adding biodiversity rich native plants, without going the whole route of a pond.
