Police Raid Colonie Hotel in Search for McDonald's Robbery Suspect
Colonie Police and Saratoga County Sheriff's Deputies raided the Econo Lodge Inn Suites in Colonie on Saturday night.
The raid was part of the search for 32-year-old Joseph Hess, accused of robbing a 76-year-old woman at the McDonald's parking lot in Ballston on Thursday.
According to Saratoga County Sheriff's Deputies, Hess stole the woman's pocketbook and then ran over her with his car, causing compound leg fractures.
Police at the Econo Lodge were heard calling out Hess's name over a loudspeaker, instructing him to come out with his hands up.
SWAT was heard over the loudspeaker calling out Hess's name and telling him to come out with his hands up.
