My Hunt for Satin Pants That I Could Wear Everywhere
I quickly realized that I lacked a pair of 'staple' bottoms I actually enjoyed wearing, pants that I could style with my eyes closed.
It all began in March, at a Friday-night showing of the thriller Black Bag, in which an auburn-wigged Cate Blanchett, playing a charming spy named Kathryn, floats in and out of scenes dressed in swaths of silks and satins.
I couldn’t shake visions of her character’s wardrobe — especially a dinner-party look she wears early on in the film, involving what appeared to be swishy slip-on satin pants.
