Canadian Passport Ranks Higher than U.S. in Visa-Free Access
According to the Henley Passport Index, Canada now ranks 9th in terms of visa-free access to countries, surpassing the U.S.
Previously, both countries were tied at 7th place, but the U.S. has fallen behind due to new visa restrictions and entry requirements imposed by other countries.
- Canadian passport holders can visit Belarus, Papua New Guinea, and Uzbekistan without a visa.
- They can also enter Bolivia and Rwanda without a visa upon arrival.
Henley and Partners reports that the shift is partly due to reciprocal policies imposed by countries in response to new U.S. visa restrictions.
