Volkswagen Expands Electric Car Grant Eligibility

Volkswagen has added selected ID.4 and ID.5 models to the Electric Car Grant list, giving buyers an instant £1,500 discount at the point of purchase.

Selected models from the Volkswagen ID.4 and ID.5 SUV ranges now qualify for the level-two £1,500 Government Electric Car Grant (ECG) discount, joining the ID.3.

With qualifying models available from £36,995 on the road, the ECG brings the effective entry point down to £35,495 for buyers.

The new eligibility brings more of Volkswagen’s range into direct competition in the growing electric car price war.
