Dame Helen Mirren, the acclaimed actress and producer, will be honored with the 2026 Cecil B. DeMille Award, as announced by the Golden Globes on Wednesday.
The award will be presented during the newly launched primetime special Golden Eve, broadcast on the CBS Television Network and streaming on Paramount+. The event will recognize recipients of both the Cecil B. DeMille and Carol Burnett Awards, celebrating remarkable achievements in film and television.
Golden Eve will include in-depth interviews and retrospectives exploring the careers of award recipients. The special pays tribute to individuals whose creative work has made a lasting impact on and off screen.
The 2025 honorees were Viola Davis for the DeMille Award and Ted Danson for the Burnett Award.
Mirren’s filmography features standout performances in The Queen, The Madness of King George, Red, the Fast & Furious series, Gosford Park, Trumbo, and Hitchcock. Over her career, she has earned an Academy Award, five Emmys, several SAG and BAFTA Awards, and a Tony Award. In 2003, she was appointed a Dame Commander of the Order of the British Empire.
The Cecil B. DeMille Award, established in 1952, honors outstanding contributions to cinema and bears the name of the legendary filmmaker. Notable past recipients include Walt Disney, Audrey Hepburn, Sidney Poitier, Elizabeth Taylor, Robert Redford, Meryl Streep, Tom Hanks, and Oprah Winfrey.
