Hilary Duff recently opened up about returning to the music scene and gave details about her upcoming single, This Is What Y2K Dreams Are Made Of. Earlier this week, she announced the release of her new song, "Mature," set for November 6. This marks her first new music since her 2015 album Breathe In.
During the Season Two finale of the Therapuss podcast with host Jake Shane, Duff reflected on her decision to return to the studio.
“It was always going to happen,” Duff said. “There’s no way that that was not going to be a part of my story.”
The pop star, who first rose to fame as a Disney alum, noted that after a decade away from music and now at 38 years old, she feels prepared to reconnect and share her current experiences.
“I feel ready to fill in the blanks and share with people and connect with them on the level of now.”
Duff emphasized the enduring bond she has with fans who have supported her since she was a child.
“I have this crazy connection with fans that I’ve known since I was nine, 10 years old, and I just want to connect with them again.”
