Kazakhstan has planted 2.4 million trees as part of the national environmental campaign, Taza Kazakhstan.
President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev participated in the campaign on October 11, planting trees at the capital's Botanical Garden alongside volunteers and eco-activists.
"This is important work for our country and our people, and I wish you success. I support the activities of Jasyl El — your work is an example for other young people,"
President Tokayev said, expressing gratitude to the youth organization Jasyl El for their civic engagement.
Astana Akim (mayor) Zhenis Kassymbek reported on the city's comprehensive program to improve 170 public spaces and courtyards, aiming to create a modern and environmentally friendly urban environment.
