British actress Pauline Collins, internationally renowned for her Oscar-nominated role in the 1989 film Shirley Valentine, has passed away at the age of 85.
Collins was best known for portraying the iconic character Shirley Valentine, a role that brought her widespread acclaim and recognition. Beyond that, she captivated audiences with a diverse range of characters including politicians, mothers, and queens.

Pauline Collins suffered from Parkinson’s disease for several years and died peacefully surrounded by her loved ones, according to her family’s statement.
