Severe Erosion Concerns in Cherry Grove Community
Recent storms, king tides, and coastal flooding have caused significant erosion along Cherry Grove's coastline, forming large sand cliffs near condos, homes, and businesses.
Video footage shows people standing next to the massive erosion formations, with some sections rising taller than the people nearby.
“There needs to be maybe a little bit more protection when these storms come in,”said Cherry Grove homeowner Becky Allen, reflecting the concerns of many residents about the proximity of high tide to their properties.
