Bratts Department Store to be Auctioned
Bratts of Northwich, a family-run department store that served customers for over 160 years, is set to go under the hammer on October 28 with a six-figure guide price.
The store, located on Witton Street, has been out of use since its shutdown four and a half years ago. An application for planning permission to convert the first and second floors into 12 apartments is currently pending.
- The store was previously owned by three different families: the Bratt family, the Evans family, and the Gray family.
- The site is currently in a state of disrepair, with empty shelves, sale signs, and a collapsed ceiling.
The family-run department store served customers for more than 160 years from branches in Nantwich and in Northwich.
The auction is being handled by Pugh Auctions, with listings also available on Rightmove.
