Mike Santana Wins World Title at TNA Bound for Glory
Mike Santana has become a champion after defeating Trick Williams for the TNA World title in the main event of Sunday's TNA Bound for Glory from Lowell, Massachusetts.
Santana secured the win by ducking Williams' Trick Shot, blocking another uranage, and hitting a flying lariat, followed by his discus lariat to get the pin.
As TNA head Carlos Silva was about to present Santana with his title, Nic Nemeth considered cashing in his Call Your Shot gauntlet title shot, but was interrupted by Elias, who returned from injury and took out Nemeth.
Co-winner Frankie Kazarian also attempted to cash in, but was unable to do so since he didn't have the trophy.
Mike Santana can now call himself a singles champion in a major promotion.
