A wave of weekend shootings in Mississippi has resulted in at least nine deaths and over 20 injuries, following high school and college football games.
On Saturday, two shootings after college football games in Mississippi left one person dead and two others injured. The Mississippi Bureau of Investigation (MBI) is investigating a shooting at Alcorn State University in Lorman.
According to MBI, officers responded to a call of shots fired near the Industrial Technology Building at approximately 6:30 p.m. Upon arrival, they found three individuals with apparent gunshot wounds, with at least one receiving fatal injuries.

The shooting occurred after Alcorn State played Lincoln University in a football game on campus Saturday afternoon.
