Coco Gauff Wins Wuhan Open Final

Coco Gauff defeated Jessica Pegula 6-4, 7-5 in the Wuhan Open final, marking her 22nd main-draw victory in China over the past three years.

Gauff dropped just 16 games en route to the final, beating Moyuka Uchijima, Zhang Shuai, Laura Siegemund, and Jasmine Paolini.

In the final, Gauff initially led 3-0, but Pegula leveled at 4-4. Gauff then broke Pegula to win the first set 6-4.

In the second set, Pegula took a 3-0 lead with a double-break, but Gauff recovered to 3-3 and later overcame another break deficit to win 7-5.
