Shooting at Alcorn State University
A shooting occurred at Alcorn State University, resulting in one death and two injuries.
The university advised students to seek shelter immediately, and the shooting took place near the Industrial Technology Building at approximately 6:30 p.m.
- One woman is deceased
- Two other victims were injured
Claiborne County Sheriff Edward Goods confirmed the casualties.
The case has been turned over to the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation, with assistance from the Claiborne County Sheriff’s Office. No arrests have been made at this time.
