Channing Tatum, who will reprise his role as Gambit in Avengers: Doomsday, has revealed why his canceled Marvel Gambit movie was too extreme for the MCU.
Tatum had wanted to play Gambit on the big screen for some time and initially had a solo movie in development.
“Look…if we’d made our Fox version, that script would’ve never gotten made — ever. It was an R-rated romantic comedy. And when I say R-rated, I mean we went for it,”
Tatum said in a new interview with Variety, explaining why the movie would never be made today.
