Bellaire Boys, Girls Collect Four Cross Country Titles

The Bellaire high school cross country program achieved a remarkable feat, bringing home four team championships from one day's performance.

They secured 64 points to second-place St. Clairsville's 73 in the Buckeye 8 race and 77 points to top the Red Devils by 10 in the OVCCL race.

"We've been running really well and instilling the history and tradition in our program and the kids have definitely bought into it,"
"However, the next three weeks will be really big for us."

Bellaire head coach Chris Armo noted that the Ohio sectionals, to be held at Cambridge High School, will be crucial for the team.

Armo reflected on the program's past successes, saying

"We've had some very good seasons over the years and we've had some teams make it to the state meet and win some OVAC championships."

He expressed enthusiasm for the upcoming weeks, adding that each team will graduate just one senior.

Author's summary: Bellaire wins four cross country titles.
