Just four weekends remain in the 2025 NASCAR schedule for both the Cup Series and the Xfinity Series. The Xfinity Series was first up on a busy day of racing on Saturday at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, starting with practice and qualifying in the afternoon.
The No. 17 HendrickCars.com Chevrolet, driven by Corey Day, turned in a 19th-place qualifying effort with a time of 30.813 seconds. Prior to qualifying, Day achieved the sixth-best practice time with a lap of 30.618 seconds, which was the best among all drivers in the first group.
This will be Day's second national-series start at Las Vegas and his first since making a CRAFTSMAN Truck Series start at the 1.5-mile tri-oval in March. Saturday night's Xfinity Series race is set to start at 7:30.
