Restart a Heart Day: New Defibrillators in Salisbury

Three new defibrillators have been installed in Salisbury ahead of Restart a Heart Day, a British Heart Foundation initiative to raise awareness of cardiac arrest and CPR.

The defibrillators have been installed at Salisbury Rugby Club and Salisbury and South Wilts Sports Club, thanks to the efforts of community groups.

A free training session will be provided by Winterbury Training on Sunday afternoon at Winterslow Primary School, where people can learn how to use the defibrillators.

Restart a Heart Day, on October 16, aims to raise awareness of cardiac arrest and CPR.

Hiker Neil Tonge, who raised thousands of pounds by trekking to Everest Base Camp, has funded two new life-saving machines at Salisbury Rugby Club, including a portable unit to be held by club physiotherapist Alex Beck.
