Sipping Plastics with Your Morning Coffee

Sipping Plastics with Your Morning Coffee

As you sip your coffee or tea, you may be unaware that you're ingesting 25,000 particles of microplastic from the plastic-lined paper cup.

Micro and nanoplastics are not limited to your morning coffee. They are found in clothing, gum, and even mascara. The air we breathe also contains nanoplastics, which are produced when larger plastics break down into polystyrene nanoplastics (PS-NPs).

These tiny particles have been found in extreme locations, such as the top of Mt. Everest, and are present in all organs of the human body, including the lungs, brain, sperm, and eggs.

Even the air we breathe now contains nanoplastics.

Autor's resume: Microplastics are everywhere in our daily lives.
