According to Vatican Secretary of State Cardinal Pietro Parolin, many people are "touched by his smile" when they see a photo of St. Carlo Acutis.
During a Mass marking the first liturgical memorial of St. Carlo Acutis, Cardinal Parolin said:
Carlo spoke of Jesus above all with his radiant, luminous, and smiling face.
The Mass was celebrated on October 12 at the Mary Major Church in Assisi, at the Shrine of the Renunciation. St. Carlo Acutis, who was canonized by Pope Francis on October 10, 2020, and not by Pope Leo XIV, is buried in a glass case on the side of the nave of the church.
Cardinal Parolin reflected on St. Paul's exhortation:
Rejoice in the Lord always, during his homily.
In summary: Cardinal Parolin celebrates St. Carlo Acutis' first liturgical memorial.
