The city of Boulder is poised to restrict daytime lawn watering for all residents and businesses as part of its first major landscaping overhaul in 20 years.
The draft rules would prohibit lawn watering between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m., with some exceptions, and require new projects to use drought-tolerant, fire-resistant landscaping.

said Karl Guiler, a city planner overseeing the project. The changes aim to conserve water and boost wildfire resilience under the city’s Waterwise Landscaping Project.
