Panthers Suffer First Loss of the Season

The Florida Panthers experienced their first defeat of the season, losing 5-2 to the Flyers. The Panthers, who started 3-0, found themselves down by two goals for the first time but attempted a rally.

They trailed 2-0 late in the second period before Sam Reinhart scored a shorthanded goal with 38 seconds remaining. Sam Bennett then tied the game with a power play goal at 10:15 of the third period.

However, the Flyers secured their win with Sean Couturier's second goal, followed by a pair of empty-net goals. Dan Vladar made 24 saves, while Daniil Tarasov stopped 17 shots in his Florida debut.

The Panthers, one of three teams to start 3-0 in the past 25 years after winning the Stanley Cup the previous season.
