Police Use Pepper Spray on High School Football Players

Football players from Cardinal Ritter College Prep in St. Louis, Missouri, were pepper sprayed by police at the end of a game against a school in Ohio.

A video captured the incident, which occurred during the handshake line after the game. According to the chief of the Massillon Police Department, multiple fights and pushing and shoving between both teams prompted officers to intervene.

“Even if it was a fight, you don’t mace children,”
said Ashley Ashburn, a mom of one of the Missouri players, expressing shock at the incident.
