MTV Shutdown: What We Know
Paramount Skydance Corporation, the current parent company of the brand, has confirmed the closure of several MTV thematic channels.
The television industry continues to evolve, and MTV, one of the most iconic symbols of pop culture, faces an unprecedented restructuring. The shutdown of several Music Television themed channels will begin in the United Kingdom and Ireland, where the channel has had a strong presence since the 1990s.
The measure will expand to much of continental Europe and other international territories, according to Paramount.
