Lotus CEO Feng Qingfeng revealed during an earnings call that the Eletre will receive a new plug-in hybrid version in 2026, delivering an impressive 939bhp. This model will be built on a 900V hybrid platform designed for high performance.
The hybrid Eletre will feature “race-level chassis tuning,” including air suspension and a 48V active stabiliser system, enhancing handling and ride comfort dramatically. These technologies aim to combine sports car agility with SUV versatility.
“Race-level chassis tuning” from the 900V hybrid platform will significantly improve driving dynamics, according to Lotus CEO Feng Qingfeng.
The 48V active stabiliser will counter body roll effectively, ensuring stability during aggressive cornering and spirited driving.
Lotus is set to enhance the Eletre SUV with a powerful 939bhp plug-in hybrid variant by 2026, incorporating race-inspired chassis technology and advanced suspension for thrilling yet refined driving performance.
