The Nevada women's basketball team had its 16-game winning streak against Sacramento State snapped Thursday, losing 65-45 in a rare weekday afternoon game at Hornet Pavilion. This marked Nevada's first road game of the season, where the Wolf Pack struggled offensively and failed to make a 3-pointer for the first time in nearly four years.
“We had people really upset and disappointed in the way that we played,” Nevada coach Amanda Levens said. “It has nothing to do with Sac State, but it's a terrible loss. The group that we have is not a group that should lose by 20 to anybody on our schedule.”
The Wolf Pack's offensive struggles and turnovers were decisive factors in the loss, underscoring challenges they must address moving forward.
Nevada’s long dominance over Sacramento State ended amid offensive struggles, highlighted by a lack of 3-pointers and excessive turnovers that led to a significant defeat.
