Paramedics confirmed the death of a man on the M25 this afternoon. The South East Coast Ambulance Service (SECAmb) reported the incident occurred near Junction 12 at Egham.
A SECAmb spokesperson stated:
“Paramedics were called at approximately 3.50pm today, following reports of a lorry driver in cardiac arrest on the M25 near to Junction 12 at Egham. Ambulance crews were joined by the Fire & Rescue Service at the scene. Sadly, despite the best efforts of everyone involved, the man died at the scene.”
The motorway was closed for about an hour but has since reopened. Online traffic monitoring site Inrix confirmed all lanes are open, with CCTV footage showing traffic clearing the previous severe delays.
