Jetstar is expanding its Adelaide network by relaunching direct flights to Melbourne Avalon Airport, with introductory fares starting from $29. The route will resume on 26 March 2026, providing South Australians with another affordable gateway to Victoria.
The budget airline will operate up to seven return flights per week, creating about 109,000 additional low-fare seats per year and reconnecting Adelaide with Victoria’s Surf Coast, Bellarine Peninsula, and Geelong. The route, which had been paused since the pandemic, will be serviced by Jetstar’s Airbus A320 aircraft.
“These new flights to Melbourne Avalon Airport provide South Australians with greater opportunities to take advantage of our low fares and are part of a significant increase in flights in and out of Adelaide this year,” said Jetstar CEO Stephanie Tully.
To mark the relaunch, Jetstar is offering limited-time sale fares matching its introductory prices from more than twenty years ago. The airline expects the promotional seats to sell rapidly.
