Jetstar, the low-cost airline, will reintroduce international flights from Avalon Airport to Bali starting next March. This marks the first time international flights have operated from Avalon since early 2020.
“This is a massive step forward for Jetstar at Melbourne Avalon Airport. We’re launching two new routes and adding more seat capacity than ever before,” said Jetstar CEO Stephanie Tully.
She emphasized that these new flight options allow Victorians to enjoy affordable travel for family holidays or weekend trips to Bali, Adelaide, or Brisbane.
“This investment will see thousands more customers fly through Melbourne’s second airport gateway, supporting the economic growth of Melbourne, Geelong, the Surf Coast and the Bellarine Peninsula,” Tully added.
Tully expressed gratitude towards the Victorian Government, Melbourne Avalon Airport, and Adelaide Airport for supporting affordable travel.
Avalon Airport CEO Ari Suss noted the expansion will add over 330,000 seats annually, benefiting both local residents and tourists.
Jetstar’s expansion at Avalon Airport, including renewed international flights to Bali, will greatly increase travel options and support regional economic growth.
