Jetstar is expanding its operations at Melbourne Avalon Airport (AVV), introducing its first international route from this location. Starting March 23, 2026, the airline will operate five weekly round-trip flights between Melbourne Avalon and Bali Denpasar Airport (DPS) using Airbus A321LR aircraft.
This expansion will introduce more than 330,000 low-fare seats annually at AVV, Melbourne's second busiest airport, providing local travelers with increased options and attracting more tourists to Victoria.
The new Melbourne Avalon-Bali service will offer over 120,000 seats per year on a route that takes just over six hours. This will enhance connectivity for passengers from Melbourne and nearby regions such as Geelong, the Surf Coast, and Bellarine Peninsula, offering easy access to Bali’s beaches and cultural attractions.
Jetstar described this as "a milestone for the airport’s largest carrier," marking the first international service from Avalon.
Jetstar significantly expands at Melbourne Avalon Airport by adding the first international Bali flights, reviving Adelaide services, and increasing Brisbane frequencies, boosting travel choices and tourism.
