Weeks following a children's birthday gathering in the upscale Sydney suburb of Vaucluse, a verbal clash has escalated into a significant legal conflict involving lawyers. The dispute is between Danielle Plaskitt, who runs the 'pony party' business My Pony Party from Sydney’s semi-rural northwest, and D'Leanne Lewis, a real estate agent from the eastern suburbs and star of Amazon Prime Video’s Luxe Listings Sydney.
The conflict ignited during Lewis's daughter Lyra’s third birthday at Kimberley Reserve in Sydney’s east on September 28. Lewis had arranged for Plaskitt's pony ride services through a party planner. A video shared by Lewis on Instagram, where she has 70,000 followers, showed a tense exchange in which Plaskitt barked,
“Get away from my ponies, now!”as Lewis carried her daughter away. The video painted Plaskitt as irritable and harsh.
Plaskitt explained she lost her temper because some guests were uncooperative, her company’s terms and conditions were ignored, and her team faced inadequate parking arrangements. She emphasized there was more to the incident than what appeared in the viral footage.
Since the story became public, both parties are considering legal measures. Lewis has already initiated a cease-and-desist letter, making the disagreement more serious.
The dispute started from a party arrangement gone wrong and has now escalated into a legal confrontation involving both sides’ lawyers.
“The fallout has spiralled into a full-blown war of words - and lawyers are getting involved.”
Author's summary: A birthday party dispute between a pony party operator and a real estate agent in Vaucluse escalated quickly from confrontation to legal threats, fueled by social media exposure.
