Airbus 2025 delivery target in doubt despite October wins

Airbus 2025 Delivery Target Faces Uncertainty

Airbus delivered 78 aircraft in October 2025, bringing its total for the year to 585. However, with 235 planes still required to reach its goal of 820 deliveries, the target seems increasingly difficult to achieve.

Steady Production Progress

The European manufacturer has been gradually increasing its monthly output. In October, 78 aircraft were delivered to 36 customers, compared with 73 to 41 customers in September. Overall, Airbus has supplied 585 jets to 85 customers this year.

Breakdown of Deliveries

The company continues to target 820 commercial deliveries in total by the end of 2025, but industry challenges remain, particularly supply chain pressures such as engine shortages.

Orders Gained

October 2025 also brought new demand. Airbus secured 112 gross orders during the month, a sharp improvement from the 10 recorded in September. Earlier, August had seen 99 new orders placed.

“Airbus’ total gross orders in 2025 have reached 722 aircraft, including 521 single-aisle jets along with 111 A350 and 90 A330 widebody jets.”

Author’s Summary

Airbus maintains strong momentum in 2025, yet meeting its 820-aircraft target may be undermined by year-end production strain and supply chain constraints.
