Ex-BBC Radio 1 Presenter’s Children in Need Challenge Reaches Ripley

Sara Cox, former BBC Radio 1 Breakfast Show presenter and current BBC Radio 2 drivetime host, is undertaking a 135-mile walk and run challenge to raise funds for Children in Need. The journey covers the North of England, from Kielder Forest to Pudsey in Leeds.

Stopover at Ripley Town Hall

As part of this challenge, Cox will stop at Ripley Town Hall on Thursday, November 13, between 6:30 pm and 7:00 pm. The venue, now community-owned following a £400,000 buyout earlier this year, will open its bar to welcome her and provide hot drinks and refreshments.

“The ultimate goal is to deliver the Children in Need mascot, Pudsey Bear, to the town of Pudsey,” Cox stated.
