Many wives and girlfriends of Pittsburgh Steelers players say they have never met Aaron Rodgers' new wife, Brittani. One wife of a Steelers player described her as "like a phantom."
“We all want to meet her, to invite her out, get to know her,” said an unnamed member of the team's social circle. “We don’t even know who she is.”
Rumors about Rodgers' marriage began after he was seen wearing a wedding ring on his left hand. In June, Rodgers confirmed during a press conference that he had married Brittani a few months earlier, though he kept details private.
“Didn’t want that. Didn’t like any of that,” Rodgers said on The Pat McAfee Show, referring to media attention on his relationships. “And now I’m with somebody who’s private, who doesn’t want to be in the public eye. Didn’t sign up to be a celebrity. Doesn’t want to be a part of it. Because I do things in private because I want my personal life to be private, now I’m weird.”
He added, “My private life is my private life. I’m with somebody who wants to be private.”
