ICC Women's ODI Rankings: Wolvaardt Tops, Mandhana Slips to Second

South Africa captain Laura Wolvaardt ascended two positions to overtake Smriti Mandhana and claim the No.1 spot in the ICC Women's ODI rankings. Her stellar performances during the Women's World Cup 2025, including centuries in both the semi-final and final, played a pivotal role in this achievement.

Wolvaardt’s total of 571 runs marked the highest tally in a single edition of the Women's World Cup and earned her a career-best rating of 814 points. Both she and Mandhana were named in the ICC’s Team of the Tournament.

India’s Jemimah Rodrigues made a major leap, climbing nine places to reach the 10th position in the batting list. Captain Harmanpreet Kaur advanced four spots to 14th, and all-rounder Deepti Sharma moved up to fourth in her category.

The updated rankings reflect shifts following India’s Women's World Cup victory, where they secured a 52-run triumph over South Africa in the final on November 2, 2025.

“Wolvaardt overtook Mandhana following her outstanding performances, where she struck centuries in both the semi-final and final of the tournament.”
