Ashleigh Gardner’s Sydney Sixers secured a dominant 10-wicket victory over Sophie Devine’s Perth Scorchers in their opening Women’s Big Bash League 2025/26 match at the WACA stadium.
The Scorchers won the toss and opted to bat first but struggled against a strong Sixers bowling attack. The opening partnership of Beth Mooney and Katie Mack added 19 runs before Mack was run out by a sensational throw from Erin Burns for 11 runs off 10 balls.
