Ukraine War Latest Updates

Special Forces Drones Strike in Crimea

On November 7, Ukraine's Special Operations Forces (SSO) reported that its long-range drones targeted an oil depot and logistic facilities in the Russian-occupied Crimea peninsula. The strike hit an oil depot near Hvardiiske village, about 20 kilometers north of Simferopol.

According to the SSO, a full RVS-400 tank, used for storing oil, petroleum products, and other liquids, was destroyed during the operation.

"Special Operations Forces continue to act asymmetrically in countering the enemy's military capabilities," the SSO stated in a Telegram post alongside drone footage of the attacks.

Additional Targets Hit

The SSO also claimed its drones struck several oil depots and fuel storage sites in and around Simferopol, along with two trains loaded with petroleum products at a loading-unloading area.

The Russian occupational administration in Crimea has not responded to these claims, and independent verification by The Kyiv Independent was not possible.
