Jude Law and his producing partner Ben Jackson are developing a variety of writer-led projects, including Sharon Horgan's first feature screenplay and a 1960s drama based on a script by Justin Kuritzkes, writer of Challengers.
Law and Jackson first met in 2000 at a pub in Primrose Hill, London, and founded Riff Raff Entertainment in 2017. Since then, they have built a focused production company with notable works like Harry Wootliff’s True Things (2021).
Riff Raff secured investment from Calculus Capital in 2022 and has first-look deals with Anton for film projects and Studio TF1 for television.
“It’s win-win for us,” says Ben Jackson of the collaboration with these interconnected companies, “We can take a project to them and they can put it with the team that likes the project.”
The company plans to open an office in Los Angeles to broaden its reach and emphasize creative development.
“We’re hoping to expand through the involvement and the tastes of the people who are leading the development team,” says Jude Law. “Nurturing other people’s ideas and passions is key to our long-term survival.”
Author's summary: Riff Raff Entertainment, led by Jude Law and Ben Jackson, steadily grows as a writer-focused production company with strategic partnerships and global ambitions.
