Southeast Notes: Spoelstra, Adebayo, Suggs, Miller

The Miami home of Heat coach Erik Spoelstra caught fire early Thursday morning, shortly after the team returned from a four-game road trip. According to reporters Milena Malaver, Carl Juste, and David Neal of the Miami Herald, firefighters responded to the two-alarm blaze around 5 a.m. ET, roughly 25 minutes after Spoelstra and the Heat landed from Denver on a chartered flight.

The house, located in Miami-Dade County on a 43,000-square-foot property, was purchased in 2023 for approximately $6.6 million. The five-bedroom residence also featured a pool and tennis courts. Despite the extensive damage, no injuries were reported, though fire crews fought the flames for more than four hours.

“Good thing that Jake from State Farm is on the heat.”
