The couple had been expecting their first child when Vesia stepped away from the team before the World Series due to what the Dodgers described as “a deeply personal family matter.”
In his post, Vesia revealed that their daughter, Sterling Sol, “went to heaven Sunday, October 26th.” He expressed profound grief and gratitude toward the baseball community for their understanding and support.
“Our little angel we love you forever & you’re with us always. Our beautiful daughter went to heaven Sunday, October 26th. There are no words to describe the pain we’re going through but we hold her in our hearts and cherish every second we had with her.”
