Sony Pictures Entertainment India announced the cast for Sam Mendes' new project The Beatles—A Four-Film Cinematic Event, featuring Hollywood actors Mia McKenna-Bruce, Saoirse Ronan, Anna Sawai, and Aimee Lou Wood. Each film centers on one of The Beatles members: John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr.
"Maureen, Linda, Yoko and Pattie are four fascinating and unique figures in their own right - and I'm thrilled that we've managed to persuade four of the most talented women working in film today to join this amazing adventure," said Sam Mendes.
Maureen Cox, played by McKenna-Bruce, was an early Beatles fan who met Ringo Starr in 1962 at the Cavern Club. Their relationship quickly grew, leading to a marriage in 1965 and three children.
Linda Eastman, portrayed by Ronan, was a renowned photographer when she met Paul McCartney in 1967.
Yoko Ono, cast as Sawai, was a Japanese artist who met John Lennon at a London exhibition of her artwork. Despite Lennon being married, they formed an inseparable creative partnership that lasted until his death.
Pattie Boyd, played by Wood, was a successful model who met George Harrison in 1964 on the set of the Beatles' film A Hard Day's Night.
These portrayals highlight the personal relationships that deeply influenced the lives and music of The Beatles.
