Financial technology company Stripe has been named the new principal sponsor of the Irish Maths Trust (IMT), which promotes advanced mathematics in Irish secondary schools.
The IMT organises the Irish Maths Olympiad (IrMO), a national competition for students. It serves as the selection process for Ireland’s top math students to compete in the International Maths Olympiad.
Stripe has committed to a three-year funding partnership that will secure the future of the Irish Maths Olympiad. This year's team recorded Ireland’s best-ever results, winning two silver medals and one bronze medal at the International Maths Olympiad.
"We're thrilled that, with Stripe's support, we'll be able to share the joy of challenging mathematics with the next generation all across the country," said Dr. Neil Dobbs, Lecturer in Mathematics at University College Dublin.
Summary: Stripe’s multi-year sponsorship strengthens maths education in Ireland, supporting competitions and STEM initiatives to inspire future innovators.
