Irish Maths Trust Gains Major Sponsorship from Stripe
Stripe has become the new principal sponsor of the Irish Mathematical Trust (IMT), the organization responsible for the Irish Mathematical Olympiad (IRMO). The fintech company will financially support IMT for the next three years, helping it expand access to mathematics education across Ireland.
“Stripe is the new principal sponsor of the Irish Mathematical Trust,” the two organisations jointly announced, adding that the partnership will “significantly” enhance IMT’s reach.
Expansion of Training Centres
Thanks to the partnership, the Irish Maths Trust plans to open seven new maths enrichment centres across the country next year. These centres will offer free weekly classes to secondary school students preparing for Olympiad competitions.

Record Achievement for Irish Students
Stripe’s sponsorship follows a landmark achievement by Irish students at the 2025 International Mathematical Olympiad. The national team achieved Ireland’s best-ever performance, climbing 25 places in the global rankings and earning the country’s highest team score to date.
The Irish students brought home two silver medals and one bronze — the first time Ireland has secured three medals at the event.
