Liverpool Defender Ibrahima Konate Sent Home from France Squad
Liverpool centre-back Ibrahima Konate will play no part in France's fixture against Iceland and will return home to Merseyside due to an injury.
Konate has been carrying an injury after being substituted during the Reds' 2-1 loss against Chelsea. Despite this, he was included in Didier Deschamps' squad to face Azerbaijan and Iceland.
He was named on the bench during Friday night's win over Azerbaijan but will now leave the camp. Konate has been struggling for form and is yet to sign a contract extension, which is due to expire at the end of the season.
With a fixture against Manchester United to come, Liverpool may have to turn to Joe Gomez.
